Coming hot on the heels of RITE HERE RITE NOW’s recent theatrical run, Ghost’s feature film is set to get its global online premiere this month, when the record-setting movie hits Veeps.
RITE HERE RITE NOW will make its debut on the streaming platform July 20th. Veeps will also mark the event by airing an exclusive Q&A with Ghost mastermind Tobia Forge, film co-director Alex Ross Perry and live director Jim Parsons, which was filmed at the movie premiere in London last month.
RITE HERE RIGHT NOW was initially given a worldwide cinema run from June 20th-24th, and pulled in $2.65 million in the U.S. alone, and $5.04 million across the globe. The film — which includes concert footage from Ghost’s two-night stint at The Forum in Inglewood, California, last fall — has since become “the highest-grossing hard-rock cinema event ever in North America.”
The movie likewise premiered new music from the band, specifically, the retro-twangy “The Future Is a Foreign Land,” which, according to Ghost lore, is the “long-lost third track” recorded by the Papa-Nihil-fronted 1969 lineup behind “Mary on a Cross” and “Kiss the Go-Goat.”
RITE HERE RIGHT NOW makes its debut on Veeps July 20th at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET. The event will be available to purchase through the platform for two weeks, with each order coming with a 48-hour rewatch window. Get access here.
