Last year, we took a liking to an upstart band called Sisters whose eerie song “Born Again” beared resemblance to Deftones, Failure and Hum.
The duo — Jason Blackmore (formerly of 1990s alt-rockers Molly McGuire) and Mario Quintero of Pittsburgh-based post-metal crew Spotlights — dropped their debut full-length, Leecheater, last August, and one of the standout tracks is a song called “Black Stars.”
It sounds kind of like Kyuss crossed with White Zombie, with a full-throttle groove and a fuzz-blasted riff that hits hard. Today (February 5th), we’re premiering Sisters’ brand new video for “Black Stars,” and it’s psychedelic as hell. The perfect visual accompaniment for this bleary, blown-out track.
