Dream Theater had an unwavering vision when they formed in 1985. Four decades later the prog-metal trailblazers have reunited their classic lineup and unlocked new levels of virtuosity with the epic Parasomnia, their first album with drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings. In Revolver‘s new Winter 2024 “Then & Now” cover story, we interview all five members about those early formative years and their recent creative resurgence.
