All hail Amonklok, the conquerors.
For what may well be the most brutal event of 2026, long-running Viking-metal warriors Amon Amarth and Dethklok, the death-metal legends steered by Metalocalypse creator Brendon Small, have announced they’re teaming up for a North American co-headline tour.
The bands’ “The Amonklok Conquest” was announced this morning (December 9th), with it being confirmed that the two acts are partnering up for a 22-show spring fling, which begins April 15th at the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix. The trip heads eastward, hits Canada for a pair of shows, zooms down South, and loops back westward for a May 21st finale at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In addition to Amon Amarth and Dethklok, rising fantasy metal faction Castle Rat will use their supporting slot to take new fans to “The Realm.”
“Three bands. One night. The strong will scream. The weak will fall. Limbs will be lost,” Amon Amarth revealed in a group statement, adding of the madness, “We will crush skulls beneath our boots and tear the halls down stone by stone. This is not a concert. It is a reckoning. If you survive… perhaps the gods have other plans for you.”
For their part, Dethklok offered a behind-the-scenes look at how they arrived at the tour name, via the video you’ll find above. Blessedly, they hit on “The Amonklok Conquest” to avoid cartoon vocalist Nathan Explosion’s other suggestion: “The Fire, Blood, Tits, Ice, Balls Show/Tour.”

As previously reported, Amon Amart set sail with their “We Rule the Waves” single earlier in 2025, while Castle Rat’s The Bestiary arrived this past summer. Dethklok last delivered their Dethalbum IV in 2023.
