DEFTONES at Madison Square Garden: See epic photos

On April 3rd, Deftones took their 2025 North American tour to the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, for a captivating, high-energy show that had fans, both old and young, in a frenzy throughout. It was the first time they’d ever headlined MSG, and they pulled out all the stops for the historic performance.

Nu-gaze upstarts Fleshwater and prog-rock vets the Mars Volta opened the show, but the night belonged to the headliners, who tore through an ecstatic, career-spanning, 20-song set, kicking things off with the yearning “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)” and closing with the cathartic “7 Words.” In between, they performed at least one song from each of their albums — including lesser-played cuts like Saturday Night Wrist’s “Hole in the Earth” and Gore’s “Prayers/Triangles” — with a svelte Chino Moreno seemingly in motion the entire time.

Deftones tour photographer Clemente Ruiz was there at MSG to catch the band in action — check out some of his standout shots above and below.
