Baad men and swordsmen unite: veteran metal act Corrosion of Conformity and reunited stoner sect the Sword have announced they’re hitting the road together for an upcoming U.S. co-headlining tour.
The news dropped earlier today (August 25th), with both bands confirming that they’ll link up in November for a two-week tour. The first date is November 2nd at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York. They’ll head out to the Mid-West from there, and then scoot down South, wrapping things up Pensacola, Florida’s Vinyl Music Hall on November 19th.
Pacific Northwest psych unit Hippie Death Cult will open all dates.
Pre-sales begin today at noon ET, while the general on-sale is this Friday (August 28th). You can find out more about ticketing over here, while the date details are down below.
As previously reported, Corrosion of Conformity issued double-album Good God / Baad Man earlier this year. You can read our interview with guitarist-vocalist Pepper Keenan about the making of the album over here.
While the Sword started playing live again in 2024, they haven’t issued an LP since 2018’s Used Future.
Not for nothing, Down — the iconic sludge supergroup featuring Keenan on guitar — deliver a new album called Blood Oath on November 20th through Nuclear Blast Records. A pre-order for the double LP on “Smoke”-hued wax (limited to 500 copies) can be found in Revolver’s shop.
