Over the course of their 13-year career so far, Cane Hill have displayed many musical personalities, ranging from metalcore, nu-metal, industrial metal and even acoustic alt-rock. Today (July 24th), the NOLA alt-metal quartet helmed by frontman Elijah Witt offered up their latest single, “Fade,” a dynamic, emotive cut that incorporates elements of many of the aforementioned styles.
The song arrived along with news of the band’s upcoming album, a piece of me i never let you find, the follow-up to 2022’s Krewe D’Amour Volume 2 EP. Cane Hill’s last full-length was 2018’s Too Far Gone.
“I wrote this song while I was madly in love with someone,” guitarist Elijah Barnett commented of “Fade.” “We’re strangers now, but I don’t think this song would’ve came out the same had we never met — music can be so beautifully ironic.
