Baroness have announced another leg of their “Red and Blue Tour,” revealing today (July 9th) that they’ll be celebrating the sounds of their acclaimed Red Album and Blue Record on the West Coast this September.
News of the tour arrives a couple months on from the initial batch of “Red and Blue” dates on the East Coast, which found the metal band surging through the sounds of their first two, early Aughts-era albums. Each night found the band playing those records in full, and they’re ready to do that again.
The next leg of dates begins with a two-night stand at Denver, Colorado’s Marquis Theater on September 5th and 6th. From there they’ll cruise up to the Pacific Northwest, cross into Canada for a stop in Vancouver, BC, and then they boot down through Oregon and California. A tour-capper takes place September 27th at Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Sister Bar.
Joining Baroness on all but one date will be stoned-out metal vets Weedeater.
“The first leg of the tour through the Northeast was such a blast that we knew we may have to add a second leg,” Baroness vocalist-guitarist John Dyer Baizley said in a statement.
“Throughout the tour, we read your messages and saw all of your comments asking for it – so here it is: RED AND BLUE – Part II. We can’t wait to see you again. We’ll be playing through the entirety of both records. Get yourselves ready for 90+ minutes of intense rock music.”
