Avenged Sevenfold brought “Bat Country” and “A Little Piece of Heaven” to Puerto Rico last night, where the beloved Cali metal act performed their first show of 2026.
The band’s 14-song set took place last night (January 14th) at the Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot San Juan, and began with an opening set from local metal unit Moths.
A7X began their headlining set with a Life Is But a Dream… double-shot of “Game Over” and “Mattel,” vocalist M. Shadows initially coming to the stage wearing a balaclava and sitting upon a couch seat, but the group likewise hit tunes from across their mighty catalogue — reaching all the way back to Waking the Fallen (“Unholy Confessions”) and City of Evil (“Bat Country”) while also hitting tracks off Nightmare, Hail to the King and more.
For Nightmare’s “Buried Alive,” a bespectacled Shadows crooned to the crowd with a Puerto Rican flag draped around his mic stand. Of the black, chunky frames he wore onstage last night, Shadows later quipped that the glasses were giving him serious Ricky Vaughn vibes.
You’ll find fan-shot footage and live photos from throughout the performance up above and down below, where you’ll likewise find the full setlist details (per setlist.fm).
A7X’s next show takes place this Saturday (January 17th) at Mexico City, Mexico’s Estadio GNP Seguros, which will also feature performances from A Day to Remember, Scars on Broadway and Mr. Bungle. They then shoot down through South America for a few more winter shows.
By July, Avenged Sevenfold mount their North American co-headline tour with Good Charlotte. Details on that trek are here.
