Coming off Arch Enemy’s surprise summer single “Dream Stealer” — not to mention vocalist Alissa White-Gluz’s Kat Von D collab “I AM A MACHINE” — the long-running extreme-metal unit have now formally announced a full-length return is on the way. The Swedish outfit’s 12th studio album is called Blood Dynasty, and they’ll lean back into their heavy heritage when it sees release next spring.
A press release confirms that the 11-track outing is due out March 28th via Century Media Records. The album kicks off with the aforementioned “Dream Stealer,” and it’s likewise said to hone in on Arch Enemy’s “powerful signature guitar riffs, guttural force and clean vocal surprises.”
“This new album pushes the boundaries of what we’ve done before — it’s everything you’ve come to expect from this band, and then some,” founding guitarist Michael Amott said in a statement. “We can’t wait for you to hear it and feel the energy we’ve poured into every track. Welcome to the Blood Dynasty!”
Blood Dynasty is the follow-up to Arch Enemy’s Deceivers album from 2022, which was their last release with longtime guitarist Jeff Loomis. The band is now joined by six-stringer Joey Concepcion, who linked up with them in 2023.
Arch Enemy’s next album is up for pre-order in multiple vinyl variants and deluxe versions over here. The deluxe editions include two bonus tracks.
