Last night (December 1st), Viking-metal titans Amon Amarth washed ashore at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom, where they had a triumphant death metal feast with Carcass, Obituary and Cattle Decapitation. The show arrived in the middle of one the most stacked extreme-metal tours of 2022, and at this stop in particular, Amon Amarth busted out their full European stage production — fire, Viking demons, giant horned helmet and all.
