AC/DC are powering up for their first formal North American tour since 2016. The Aussie hard-rock legends officially confirmed as much by just announcing a long-awaited trek behind 2020’s Power Up, which kicks off next spring.
The 2025 dates were revealed this morning (December 2nd), with a 13-stadium stretch beginning April 10th at Minneapolis, Minnesota’s US Bank Stadium. The trip hits both U.S. coasts, and juts up for one Canadian date at Vancouver, BC’s BC Place — notably just a few blocks away from The Warehouse studio where AC/DC cut much of Power Up (and several other albums).
While AC/DC had toured Power Up throughout Europe this year, the upcoming trip marks the band’s first U.S tour dates since 2016’s “Rock or Bust World Tour.” That said, Angus Young and Co. did hit Indio, California in 2023 as part of the Power Trip festival.
The upcoming shows will be their first North American appearances with new bassist Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morrissette), who took over for longtime four-string thrummer Cliff Williams earlier this year. All dates will also feature opening sets from the Pretty Reckless, whose Taylor Momsen was bit by a bat onstage while opening for AC/DC in Spain back in the spring.
