Before he joined Faith No More, Mike Patton was the fresh-faced frontman of Eureka, California’s Mr. Bungle, a high school band formed in 1985 after its member were kicked out of other groups. Six year later, Bungle catapulted into notoriety off Patton’s FNM fame with this head-spinning debut LP, which recklessly fused metal, ska, carnival music, free jazz and more.
